QUALIFYING CRITERIA
After undergoing exceptional training at one of our five preferred journalism schools – the University of Canterbury; Massey University, Wellington; the Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec); Aoraki Polytechnic, Timaru; and the Auckland University of Technology (AUT)interns join their chosen newspaper or website.
A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred but we will consider candidates who have minimum qualification of NCEA Level 3 or the relevant life skills.
This is a one-stop-shop for Taranaki people looking for scholarships. These scholarships range from those which have very specific criteria for Taranaki people, to ones that are generally available to anyone in New Zealand.
Scholarships can ease the financial burden for some students and possibly result in stronger relationships with employers who may take you on once you have finished training.
