Noel and Melva Yarrow Charitable Trust Education Scholarships
After three years of providing scholarships to Taranaki students undertaking University studies in New Zealand, the trustees of the Noel and Melva Yarrow Charitable Trust have reaffirmed their commitment to this project. The scholarships are designed to assist the young people of Taranaki to further their ambitions and opportunities.
Each secondary school in Taranaki is allowed to submit only four applicants, and it is the principal of each school that selects the four most worthy candidates. Enquiries from students should, therefore, be directed to the principal in the first instance.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA
To be eligible to apply, a student must have concluded their schooling at a Taranaki secondary school in 2009 and intend to attend one of the seven New Zealand Universities in 2010 as a full time student. The Trustees tend to favour applications from students enrolled in Commerce, Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Computing, Accounting, Science, Food Technology, but will look outside these subjects should the quality of the applicant demand so.
