DaoMing Chinese Studies Scholarships

This Scholarship is a donation from a "Friend of Massey University" who wishes to remain anonymous. The purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage New Zealanders to study the Chinese language, literature and culture. It is the donor's wish that the recipients of the Scholarship will come to appreciate the depth and beauty of Chinese culture, and that misunderstanding of Chinese people will be reduced.

"Dao" means "the Way, the truth, the fundamental principle of the universe"; "Ming" means "brightness of heaven, enlightenment." The phrase "DaoMing," put simply, signifies "the way to truth."
